Statement on COVID-19

April 6, 2020

Dear Festival friends,

I hope you are all doing well in this unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

After extensive discussion with the Board of Trustees, it is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancellation of our June 2020 season.

Some of the significant reasons that guided this decision include the orders and guidelines put in place by federal and state government and health officials, the closing of performance and rehearsal venues, and our deep concern for the welfare and safety of all of our valued artists, staff, and patrons. We believe cancelling is the responsible path forward for The Princeton Festival.

We will be reaching out to our ticket buyers over the next several days, and we ask for your patience while our customer service team navigates this process with all our patrons.

Many of you have asked how you can help ensure the future of the Festival. Donating your tickets back to the Festival, purchasing a gift certificate for future performances, or making a donation are all ways that you can have an immediate impact. New COVID-related legislation may now make it even easier for you to support The Princeton Festival; read more here.

We are already hard at work planning our future events, including possible performances this Fall. In the meantime, I thank you all for your support and please stay safe and healthy. I hope to see you soon.
