The Princeton Festival Guild offers a free introduction to opera program for young people (middle school age and older) and the young at heart of all ages who are new to opera. This is a wonderful occasion for parent/child and grandparent/child participants to learn together!

“Music that Tells a Story” combines a two-hour educational workshop about opera with attendance at the final dress rehearsal of The Princeton Festival’s production of Beethoven’s Fidelio on Friday June 16, including a backstage tour and box dinner. The workshops will be offered in three locations and as of June 3rd, the one at Princeton Public Library on June 16th is full. The other options are:

  • Wed June 7, 6:30-8:30 pm – Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library
  • Sat June 14, 10 am – noon – Turning Point United Methodist Church, Trenton

Pre-registration is required – register now for these workshops occurring this week! More information is available on our Opera Workshop webpage.
