Music-Inspired Art by Trenton Community A-TEAM Artists

Art Exhibit … and Ice Cream Social!

Exhibit:  May 1 – 31

Meet the Artists Reception:  Tuesday, May 21 from 2 to 5 pm

Thomas Sweet Gallery and Café will again host the 2019 Music-Inspired Art exhibit-sales from May 1 through 31, 2019 as a preamble to the June Princeton Festival season. This popular annual exhibit showcases Trenton Community A-TEAM artwork inspired by the Festival’s production of John Adams’ Nixon in China opera this year.

An ice cream social will be held Tuesday, May 7, from 3-5 pm to encourage ‘children of all ages’ to enjoy the art during the month-long exhibit.

A reception to Meet the Artists will occur Tuesday, May 21, from 2-5 pm.

 

Art Display During Opera Performances

June 23:  2:30 pm to approximately 6 pm – stop by to chat with the artists!
June 30:  2:30 pm to approximately 6 pm

As in past years, the McCarter Theatre Main Lobby will showcase Music-Inspired Art during the opera performances. Nixon in China-inspired art will be exhibited for sale during the opera at the 3 pm matinee performances on June 23 and June 30. A-TEAM artists will be attending the opening matinee and look forward to their annual discussions with the opera audience on the Music-Inspired Art before and after the performances, as well as during intermission.
