Opera Workshop

The Princeton Festival (TPF) offers an array of educational and community engagement programs to complement its rich multi-genre programming in the performing arts. In partnership with the TPF Guild, these programs are designed to engage a culturally diverse community and to enrich the Festival experience in accord with TPF’s stated mission to “excite, inform, inspire, and invite discovery and engagement.”

The TPF Education and Community Engagement Programs for 2017 fall under five categories:

Lectures & Previews

1. Free Lectures, Talks, and Conversations

  • Festival Lecture Series – experts speak on topics relating to the Festival’s performances
  • Visiting Lecture Series for Seniors – held in senior communities in NJ and PA
  • Artists Round Table – an intimate conversation with the opera’s principal artists and directors
Music for All

2. Free Intergenerational “Music for All” Programs

  • Music that Tells a Story – opera workshop plus admission to the dress rehearsal of Fidelio, with backstage tour (pre-registration required)

3. Free Open Rehearsals and Pre-Performance Events


4. Free Previews and Exhibitions

  • Season previews
  • Pop-up performances
  • Meet the Artists post-performance receptions
