From Baroque to Disney, windmills to dungeons, our 2017 season was a blast

2017 Thank You

And we couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s hard to believe that this year’s season has come to a close – 22 performances, 15 free educational events, rave reviews, and new faces everywhere. Whether you’re an event patron, a donor, a grantor, an artist, a volunteer, a Guild member, a housing host, an advertiser, or simply a music lover, we gratefully thank you for supporting our mission of bringing you high quality live performances in a festival of wide-ranging genres!

Our 13th season enjoyed record attendance overall, supporting our broad programming that ranged from Beethoven’s Fidelio to family-friendly Disney Pops to perennial favorite Concordia Chamber Players and an increasingly popular Baroque orchestra series. Our musical Man of La Mancha sold out its 11-performance run weeks before the end of the season and contemporary ballet powerhouse BalletX left no tickets for last-minute patrons as well. (Mark your calendars – buy your tickets by May next year!)

Critics called Man of La Mancha “a summer gem,” “enchanting and refreshing” with costumes “loaded with wit.” Fidelio was “splendid,” “compelling and musically astute,” “just fabulous,” and a Beethoven scholar thought our production “showed Beethoven at his best.”

Thanks to the generosity of our many, many donors as well as our abiding commitment to conservative financial management, we can proudly proclaim that we continue to operate without debt. As we begin planning for our 14th season, which will be anchored by Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, we look forward to your continued support so that we may bring you another outstanding program in our 2018 Season.

To stay in the know, please be sure to subscribe to our eNews and supply your mailing address if you’d like to receive our 2018 Season Guide next March.
